“Breakthrough” is a massively melodic and touchingly personal single. Through the lyrics, we are treated to a genuine, personal experience that is easy to relate to while the vocal performance really sells the meaning, all the while providing awesome melody. The instrumental matches the energy and tone of the vocals perfectly as well. This track reminds me a lot of other Minnesota-based artists in a good way; I bet Spencer Goldman’s music goes over very well in that music scene.
I am excited to hear more from Spencer Goldman as he releases more music over time - “Breakthrough” certainly has the potential to be a literal breakthrough track for this artist.
