Lurid Purple Flowers - Darkness

Lurid Purple Flowers is a band making waves in the Boston underground scene. With influences like Hard Rock, Psychedelic and Funk, this group’s blended sound is truly exceptional. Today we are excited to share our thoughts on Lurid Purple Flowers’ single, “Darkness”, which comes from their EP titled Mania!

From top to bottom, “Darkness” is a truly special song. From the outset, you will notice how much raw power is featured within this song. One major source of the aforementioned power is in the instrumental portion of the track, specifically the guitar performance; the guitar in this song is absolutely electrifying and really carries the instrumental. Not to be outdone, CA Newcomb’s vocals match the intensity brought by the guitar performance, giving off the kind of finished product that will get you up and moving.

I feel like “Darkness” is a great track to get you interested in Lurid Purple Flowers and their music; the song definitely made me want to go check out the rest of Mania! You can keep up with Lurid Purple Flowers through their website, Twitter and Facebook. We have “Darkness” embedded below via Spotify - check it out!
