“Rodeo Town” is a delightful country single. A love song, “Rodeo Town” covers Lynch’s feelings toward a woman and his attachment to her and the “rodeo town” that she is from. What really struck me about this song were the pop sensibilities presented throughout its duration; this song has a finish akin to Jimmy Buffett’s “Margaritaville” but with a stronger sense of honesty and realism, giving it a relatability that makes it special.
