Richard Lynch - Rodeo Town

Richard Lynch is a country music artist from Waynesville, Ohio. An accomplished country artist, Lynch has been active for over thirty years, presenting his sound - and country brand as a whole - to the world, all the while delighting his listeners. Today we take a listen to “Rodeo Town” from Richard Lynch’s album My Guitar Drips Country.

“Rodeo Town” is a delightful country single. A love song, “Rodeo Town” covers Lynch’s feelings toward a woman and his attachment to her and the “rodeo town” that she is from. The track’s guitar work is excellent, driving the instrumental portion of the track, while Lynch’s vocal melody is extremely catchy, hooking the listener in effortlessly. What really struck me about this song were the pop sensibilities presented throughout its duration; this song has a finish akin to Jimmy Buffett’s “Margaritaville” but with a stronger sense of honesty and realism, giving it a relatability that makes it special.

Through “Rodeo Town”, we get a strong sense of the strength and depth that his album My Guitar Drips Country contains. Lynch’s songwriting and performing skills are sharp and “Rodeo Town” is an absolute treat to listen to. You can keep up with Richard Lynch on Twitter, Facebook and Reverbnation.
