Pete Miller - I Wrote Hannah a Letter

Pete Miller is a music artist who is originally from Connecticut and currently based in Pennsylvania. A blue-collar worker turned music artist, Miller has drawn comparisons to many legendary artists including the great Johnny Cash. We have previously listened to Miller’s “A Light Out There” and “The Raven & The Dove” and today we are excited to write about “I Wrote Hannah a Letter”!

A song that seems to come from a personal experience of Miller’s, “I Wrote Hannah a Letter” is a heartbreaker. Indeed, this song’s lyrics make it feel like it is as much a poem as it is a song. The honest emotions that Miller presents in this song are relatable and the feeling of heartbreak he shares with us is one that most of us have experienced personally. I am never really surprised by the comparisons Miller gets to Johnny Cash; while his delivery is unmistakably his own, it feels like it comes from the same kind of place as Cash’s.

As it stands, “I Wrote Hannah a Letter” might just be Pete Miller’s best song yet. This song really showcases Miller’s talents and it is a completely memorable piece of art.
