Once Great Estate - Shelbyville Inn

Once Great Estate is a band that was founded by multi-instrumentalist Tracy Horenbein. In addition to Horenbein, the group is made up of Bassist Jeffrey Chagnon, guitarist/mandolin player F. Matthew Burns, fiddle player/guitarist Christopher Ash, and drummer Steve Burke. Today we are excited to share our thoughts on “Shelbyville Inn”, the latest single from Once Great Estate!

A rootsy and richly textured track, “Shelbyville Inn” is a complete package of a Southern/Country song and I feel it is a great introduction to Once Great Estate’s sound. This track makes great use of all of the musicians involved as no one instrument steals the show from the others; that said, the vocals certainly are show-stealing. It is a bit hard to describe but this song as a certain “wholeness” that you will find while listening and each time you listen to “Shelbyville Inn”, it will surely delight.

I feel like Once Great Estate is one of those bands that is incredibly easy to get into. Their sound is super approachable for casual music fans but features so many different textures for a music connoisseur to enjoy. You can keep up with Once Great Estate through Facebook and their website. We have “Shelbyville Inn” embedded below via Bandcamp!
