John Vento - New Mexico Way

John Vento is a musician based out of the Pittsburgh music scene. In addition to his solo career, Vento is also known for fronting The Businessmen and Nied’s Hotel Band. Previously, we dove into John Vento’s timeless “Not Your Kinda’ Man”, a great introduction to this artist. Today we are delighted to share our remarks about John Vento’s latest piece, “New Mexico Way”.

“New Mexico Way” is a gritty yet melodic track that I feel is summed up well by one word: authentic. This song has an extremely strong true to life kind of energy about it and you know the work John Vento put into crafting it came from a real place within himself. The track is extremely vibrant with many layers of instruments smoothly gelled together by excellent production; there is an absolute ton of life within all aspects of this track, making it a treat to listen to on repeat. I really came to admire the brief spoken-word style portion of the song which comes in during the latter third of the track before circling into a memorable outro.

John Vento really has a certain grit and grain within his music that makes it stand out; this aspect does not stand in the way of his brilliant work with melody as “New Mexico Way” shows us. You can keep up with John he is on social media such as Facebook or his website and as always we have “New Mexico Way” embedded below - take a listen!
