David Dixon - Before It Gets Too Cold

David Dixon is a singer/songwriter based out of Wilmington, North Carolina. A Pop artist, Dixon primarily sings and plays guitar for his music, though he also plays violin, bass and piano as needed for the songs he releases. Today we are excited to share our thoughts on David Dixon’s single, “Before It Gets Too Cold”!

“Before It Gets Too Cold” is a brilliantly chill Pop song that has arrived just in time for the winter season. This song is extremely melodic and textured, brimming with awesome vocal harmonies, on-point backing vocals and a rich backing track; of note is that Dixon tracked eleven violin parts on this song and de-tuned some to simulate the sound of violas, creating an effect similar to that of a full orchestra - a nifty technique that I think is awesome!

Overall, I really must say that “Before It Gets Too Cold” is an absolute ear-pleaser and both hardcore and casual music fans alike will find something to enjoy in this song. You can keep up with David Dixon through Instagram, Facebook and his website. We have “Before It Gets Too Cold” embedded below via Spotify and you can also catch the official lyric video on YouTube!
