Easily identifiable, “Courage to Love” is a fantastic song coming in at three minutes and thirty-six seconds in length. In a lot of ways, this is an “ultimate” Blind Uncle Harry song, featuring uplifting vocals, a tight instrumental and a memorable overall experience. I know I have likened Blind Uncle Harry’s music to the Violent Femmes in the past and that connection feels especially strong here; like legendary Femmes singer Gordon Gano, Blind Uncle Harry has a one of a kind voice that he uses to lean into a Folk sound that gives a timeless and unforgettable nature to each song.
As expected, “Courage to Love” delivers in a way that only a Blind Uncle Harry song can and whether this is your first time listening to this artist or your millionth, you can bet there is plenty here to enjoy.
