Aneessa - Santa Baby
Aneessa is a music artist originally from Saint-Étienne, France. We have previously covered Aneessa through her song “Just To Be With You” and this talented artist is known for her excellent vocal performances across all of her music. Today we take a dive into Aneessa’s take on the Christmas classic, “Santa Baby”, which will be formally released on December 4th.
“Santa Baby” is a fun and slightly provocative Christmas song featuring a singer - typically a woman - singing about the gifts they want from Santa Claus in a flirty way. Using her excellent singing talent, Aneessa captures the flirty and playful tone from the original version of “Santa Baby” while spinning those familiar elements ever so slightly to really make this a fun and different cover. It is through Aneessa’s singing voice that we really get to experience the best of what this Christmas classic track can offer and I feel as though she has really found a way to own “Santa Baby” as her own. This is easily one of my favorite takes on this awesome classic track!
Overall, Aneessa’s take on “Santa Baby” manages to be both an easily recognizable rendition of the classic song while also remaining fresh enough to stand on its own. Aneessa is a very passionate and talented artist and the way in which she carves out her own version of this classic track is a great example of how she has mastered using her singing voice as an instrument.
